Hi there,
Thanks for signing up for my founder newsletter. An AI agent emailed last night about buying a newsletter advert slot. It was pretty wild.
Cheers to Bruno for sponsoring today's edition:

News
Buffer hits $25m
Congrats to Buffer for reaching $25m in annual recurring revenue. It's a major achievement for a bootstrapped company, especially since they had a dip around the 2021-2022 period.
Buffer has also been a trail blazer in terms of building in public and being transparent about revenue and salaries.

Webflow price increase
Webflow are increasing the prices for their standard CMS site plan. It's going up from $29/month to $39/month. You'll get more CMS items but even so...
I reckon a lot of founders will just make sites with Astro and host for free on Cloudflare or Netlify. Cloudflare is experimenting with its own CMS. Or you could use the Sanity free plan or just use markdown files.
There are headaches if you are moving a huge site but for something like a small marketing or porfolio website, I'd definitely re-build it in Claude and host a static site for free.

Ahrefs free plan
I missed this but 4 weeks ago Ahrefs changed the name of their free tools from "Webmaster tools" to "/free", which is obviously a lot clearer.
If you verify your website you can do things like see what keywords you rank for, find any technical on-site issues and get website analytics, all for free.

Frustration with Bubble
This Bubble developer's frustration caught my attention.
I really think all these no-code tools like Bubble, Webflow, Glide etc are going to be heavily disrupted with AI. If you're vaguely technical you can build websites with Claude for $20 per month, you own all the code in GitHub and there's no vendor lock-in.

Syntax meetup in Amsterdam
WesBos is organising a Syntax meetup in Amsterdam on the 10th of June to coincide with the JSNation and React Summit. Looks fun! https://luma.com/vizvmxvn
