Bootstrapper beats VC-backed company
It's gotta be pretty satisfying to beat a company that raised $10m:

One of our main competitors just folded.
They raised $10m. We bootstrapped.

Revenue real talk
Some interesting data from Marc's revenue verified site, TrustMRR:
Most people have made less than $1000.
In fact, only 3.1% of his users have made over a million.
Now there are obviously some caveats - maybe people with more revenue are less likely to use a website like this. Still, it's a good reminder that most indie founders are not rolling in cash and if you are, you're in the minority.
